At Tranquil Nest Safaris, we offer a range of exciting activities to make your stay unforgettable, from thrilling game drives to cultural and historical tours. Explore Mapungubwe National Park with a game drive across its stunning landscapes, or visit the Interpretation Centre to discover artifacts like the Golden Rhino. Take in the breathtaking views at the Confluence Lookout, where South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Botswana meet, or delve into history with a heritage tour of Mapungubwe Hill. For those interested in rock art, guided tours are available to explore ancient San sites.

For a unique experience, enjoy a crocodile farm tour at Ratho, followed by a bush lunch, or relax with a picnic under the Boabab trees in Musina Nature Reserve. In the evening, indulge in bush dining under the stars for a truly magical experience. For outdoor enthusiasts, we offer tiger fishing at Schroda Dam, sunset drives on our 1000-hectare farm, and walking trails to immerse yourself in nature. Birdwatchers will delight in the diverse birdlife of the Limpopo region. Activities can be booked individually or as part of a customized package. Mapungubwe Game Drives

Get ready for an
adventure as we
embark on a game
viewing experience in
the mysterious African
bush.
The park can be split
into the Eastern and
Western sections. We
will cover a section on
a one-day visit. The
guide will confirm
which section will be
visited.

Mapungubwe Interpretation Centre

The Interpretation
Centre, an architectural
masterpiece is located
close to the main gate
of the park.
The museum houses
some of the most
important finds from
the Mapungubwe Hill
including the Golden
Rhino, Bowl, Sceptre
etc.

 

 

Mapungubwe Confluence look out

Enjoy a view over the
confluence of the
Shashe and Limpopo
rivers where three
countries meet – South
Africa, Zimbabwe and
Botswana.
The confluence look
out provides easy
access to several look
out platforms that
overlook the Limpopo
and Shashe rivers.

Mapungubwe Heritage Tour

The heritage tours at
Mapungubwe are
undertaken with the
guidance of trained
and qualified guides.
The tours start from the
main gate and take
about 3 hours. The
Mapungubwe Hill is not
accessible to the
mobility impaired

 

 

Mapungubwe Rock art

Mapungubwe also
speaks of earlier times
of human habitation.
The San and their
forebears occupied the
landscape in the last
2000 years the area for
the last 5.000 years.
Evidence of their
occupation is
documented in the 150
rock art sites.

Ratho Crocodile Farm

Enjoy a morning
learning more about
these scaly creatures,
followed by a fine
dining lunch in the
bushveld.
